Joe Willie On The Shrimpbox: Where are the responsible adults?

Over the weekend we had another senseless shooting that took the life of yet one more child. Again this happened late at night, around midnight. The victim was fifteen years old. I've got to ask the obvious question: Why is a 15 year old roaming the streets at midnight? Where are the responsible adults? Children shouldn't be out playing in the streets at that time of night! We used to have a curfew in the city of Brunswick. Obviously it has never been enforced. Now some city commissioners want to enact another curfew. Hey commish! Let's enforce the laws we have on the books instead of putting more un-enforceable ones on paper. Besides, a curfew won't do much good unless the parents, grand parents and the responsible adults become responsible!
